Tourist apartments in Granada

Apartamentos Reyes Católicos runs 10 tourist apartments of our own in the historic centre of Granada, spread across Plaza Nueva, Plaza de Cuchilleros, Calle Colcha, Calle Hermosa and Calle Alta del Boquerón. The climb to the Alhambra starts between 290 and 830 m away depending on the address, and the cathedral is between 270 and 490 m away. You rent the whole apartment — equipped kitchen and WiFi in every one — for groups of 2 to 6 people.

We are not a hotel and we are not an agency: these are 10 properties of ours, managed by us, from 35 to 105 m². On this page you have the comparison table for all of them, which part of the centre suits you depending on what you have come to see, and the answers to the questions we are asked most before booking.

Where they are: the areas of the historic centre

“Central Granada” is a label that means very different things on the booking portals. Our apartments are all inside the old town, at five specific addresses a short walk from one another: what changes is the feel of the street, the noise at night and whether there is a lift, more than the distance to the monuments.

Plaza Nueva

Plaza Nueva 1 · 1 apartment

Plaza Nueva is where the Albaicín, the Centro and the Realejo meet: this is where the Carrera del Darro sets off towards the Paseo de los Tristes, and where the hill up to the Alhambra begins. It is the most central address in the collection — the cathedral is 280 m away and the climb to the Alhambra starts 320 m away — and the only one with an address on the square itself.

Plaza de Cuchilleros

Plaza de Cuchilleros 14 · 6 apartments

This is our contact address and the building where most of the apartments are, a few steps from Plaza Nueva. From here the climb to the Alhambra starts 290 m away, and several of these apartments have an optional garage space.

Calle Colcha

Calle Colcha 5 · 1 apartment

A narrow street in the old town, a few metres from Plaza Nueva. This is where Colcha Suite is, a completely renovated two-bedroom apartment: the location of the square, on a side street.

Calle Hermosa

Calle Hermosa · 1 apartment

The street Hermosa 7 is on: a renovated 85 m² apartment — the largest on a single floor — with views of the Alhambra, the Paseo de los Tristes and Plaza Nueva all at once. The start of the climb to the Alhambra is 320 m away.

Calle Alta del Boquerón

Calle Alta del Boquerón 8 · 1 apartment

A central address, and home to Laurel, the only apartment with three bedrooms and two bathrooms: separate kitchen, balcony, communal terrace and a lift in the building. The choice for anyone who needs the beds spread out more than they need to be on the busiest square.

Which apartment to choose for your trip

The real difference between our holiday flats is not the equipment — it is practically the same in all of them — but the size, the number of beds and what you see out of the window. This is the quick way to narrow it down.

Couples

Two studios of 35 m², both with a balcony and views of the Alhambra. They are the smallest properties in the collection and the only ones designed for just two.

Families and groups of 4 or 5

The bulk of the collection: from 60 to 85 m², with two bedrooms in several cases and a sofa bed in as many others. Laurel is the only one with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Groups of up to 6

A 105 m² duplex laid out over two floors, the largest property we manage and the only one meant for 6 people without splitting the group across two apartments.

If you are travelling with large suitcases, or with someone for whom stairs are a problem, filter by lift first: the listings that mention one are Plaza Nueva Studio and Laurel. If what you want is to wake up looking at the Alhambra, the apartments with those views are Suite Mulhacén, Plaza Nueva Studio and Hermosa 7. And if it is the car that worries you, start with the next section.

Parking: the question for anyone arriving by car

Staying in the old town of Granada and arriving by car are two decisions best taken together. So we will say it plainly: 6 of our 10 apartments have a garage space — Suite Medina, Suite Generalife, Suite Comares, Suite Plaza Nueva, Suite Mulhacén and Laurel — and the other 4 have no parking of their own.

The space is an optional service, subject to availability and at an additional cost: it is not assigned automatically when you book and it has to be requested in advance by writing to us. If you are definitely going to need one, confirm it before you commit to your dates.

What the rental includes

Every apartment is rented whole: no communal areas shared with other guests and no reception desk. All 10 have an equipped kitchen and high-speed WiFi, and they are handed over clean and with the beds made; most also add air conditioning and a Smart TV, and each listing sets out exactly what it has. The kitchen format changes from one apartment to the next — separate in Laurel, breakfast-bar style in Suite Plaza Nueva — but in all of them you can genuinely cook, which is something you appreciate on a stay of several days in Granada.

Access is designed so you can arrive at your own pace: 5 apartments open with a smart lock and 2 with a key safe. That means you can plan your arrival without depending on someone waiting for you at the door, which is particularly useful if you land late or drive in from another city.

The exact equipment of each property — beds, bathrooms, balconies, terrace — is detailed on its own page, with real photos of the apartment. You can see them all in the full apartment listing.

How to book

Bookings are made through our own system, open 24 hours a day: you choose your dates and the number of guests and see the real availability of the 10 apartments, with no middlemen. Booking direct also means that, for any change or question, you are talking to the person who manages the apartment and not to a call centre.

If you need parking, want to confirm the bed layout or have any question before you decide, write to us from the contact page: we answer by WhatsApp, phone or email.

Frequently asked questions

How many tourist apartments do you have in Granada, and where are they?

We manage 10 apartments of our own, all in the historic centre of Granada: 6 at Plaza de Cuchilleros 14, 1 at Plaza Nueva 1, 1 at Calle Colcha 5, 1 at Calle Hermosa and 1 at Calle Alta del Boquerón 8. We do not act as intermediaries for other people's properties, so the information on every listing is first-hand.

How far are they from the Alhambra and from the centre?

It depends which part of the Alhambra, and it is worth knowing before you book. From our front doors it is between 290 and 830 m to the Puerta de las Granadas, where the climb up the Cuesta de Gomérez begins. To the Puerta de la Justicia it is 540 m from the main address. But the access pavilion, which is where the ticket offices are and where you go in with a ticket already bought, is 1,080 m away and all uphill: reckon on about 20 minutes at a brisk walking pace, or a short taxi from Plaza Nueva if you have a suitcase or children with you. The cathedral, on the other hand, is between 270 and 490 m away depending on the address, and on the flat except from Alta del Boquerón.

How many people do the apartments sleep?

From 2 to 6 people. There are 2 studios of 35 m² meant for couples (Suite Mulhacén and Plaza Nueva Studio), 7 apartments for groups of 4 or 5 and a 105 m² duplex for up to 6 (Colcha Penthouse).

Are there tourist apartments with parking in the centre of Granada?

Yes: 6 of the 10 apartments have a garage space in the building (Suite Medina, Suite Generalife, Suite Comares, Suite Plaza Nueva, Suite Mulhacén and Laurel). It is an optional service, subject to availability and at an additional cost, which must be booked in advance by contacting us directly.

Which apartments have views of the Alhambra?

Views of the Alhambra are listed in 3 of the 10: Suite Mulhacén, Plaza Nueva Studio and Hermosa 7. Suite Mulhacén is a penthouse with a private balcony, and Plaza Nueva Studio and Hermosa 7 look out over the Alhambra, the Paseo de los Tristes and Plaza Nueva all at once.

Do the apartments have an equipped kitchen?

All of them. Every apartment is rented whole and with an equipped kitchen. In Laurel the kitchen is separate and includes a fridge, microwave, oven, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and juicer; in Suite Plaza Nueva it is breakfast-bar style, open to the living room.

How do you get into the apartment when you arrive?

In most of the apartments check-in is self-service, with nobody to wait for at the door: 5 open with a smart lock (Suite Medina, Suite Generalife, Suite Comares, Suite Plaza Nueva and Suite Mulhacén) and 2 with a key safe (Colcha Suite and Colcha Penthouse). If you have any doubt about access to a particular apartment, you can ask us before booking.

How do you book an apartment?

Bookings are made through our online system, available 24 hours a day, where you can check the real availability of the apartments and confirm on the spot. If you would rather talk to us first — about parking, say, or to confirm the bed layout — you can write to us by WhatsApp, phone or email from the contact page.
